FOUR DECADES OF DESTRUCTIVE AND OPPRESSIVE ZANU PF LEAVES A LASTING IMPACT AS ILLEGITIMATE SCARFMORE’S HEROES DAY ADDRESS IS INTERRUPTED

It is now clear that whenever there is a biased national event, the exploitative, harmful, and corrupt Zanu PF seizes the opportunity to spread their poorly-conceived propaganda to citizens they perceive as politically naïve and manipulable. During such events, electricity outages often occur. While this is an embarrassment for the unashamed and illegitimate one-party state of Zanu PF, it sheds light on the neglect the people have suffered, as evidenced by the ongoing lack of essential services.

An illegitimate party remains in power despite glaring failures and a sense of baseless entitlement. Such failures include erratic power supply, which ironically hinders the harmful and exploitative Zanu PF’s propaganda efforts. These issues are the direct result of four decades of selfish and destructive plundering and pillaging of the country’s financial and natural resources for personal gain.

The Zanu PF seeks to hold power indefinitely and unconstitutionally to establish a futile one-party state. This unconstitutional power retention results in the undermining of the rule of law, legal equality, and a judiciary-supported government. In turn, the executive branch exhibits a chronic lack of responsibility, as demonstrated by their unresponsiveness and insensitivity to the oppressed people forced to live in squalor, poverty, and destitution. Transparency and accountability are virtually nonexistent, as seen in the failed agriculture mechanization scheme.

The legislative branch, largely a rigged parliamentary majority, focuses on creating an environment conducive to the rule by law, as evidenced by its MOPA conception. The three branches of government operate in a partisan manner, aiming to retain power and exploit resources without facing consequences such as imprisonment or loss of ill-gotten wealth.

ZESA executives, like those in other parastatals, are merely parasites who drain the resources meant to serve the people. Critical tenders are awarded without due process, often given to individuals lacking capacity and experience, as was the case with Chivhayo. This blatant looting by the destructive Zanu PF is why power supply issues persist as long as the harmful and exploitative Zanu PF illegitimately remains in power.
