WAR VETERANS LEADER MATHIBELA ON THE RUN FROM CIO

The Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) is hunting down Andreas Ethan Mathibela, the leader of the Zimbabwe National War Veterans Association. Mathibela is now on the government’s radar as “a person of security interest.”
The CIO is run by the State Security minister and is under the President’s Office. They have sent a notice to regional immigration officers across Zimbabwe. The notice says that Mathibela must not be allowed to leave the country. They want to make sure he does not escape because he is now a wanted man.
Mathibela is one of the top war veterans who are speaking out against President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He has been boldly demanding that Mnangagwa must step down. He says that Mnangagwa has failed the nation and should no longer be in power. This has made the government nervous, and now the CIO wants to track him down.
Political tension is growing fast in Zimbabwe. There is a big fight between the two main factions in ZANU PF. One faction is led by President Mnangagwa, while the other is led by Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga. These two groups are now openly fighting over who should be the leader. The leadership issue is causing more and more division within the ruling party.
Mathibela’s call for Mnangagwa to step down has angered the President’s supporters. They see him as a threat to their leader’s power. The CIO is determined to silence him because his bold statements are gaining support among some war veterans and the public.
Blessed Geza, another war veteran leader, is also adding fuel to the fire. He has called for a mass uprising against Mnangagwa on March 31. This call for a popular revolt has made the government even more nervous. They fear that if people listen to Geza, it could turn into a massive protest against the President. The government knows that if the war veterans and the people come together, it could be the end of Mnangagwa’s rule.
The situation is getting more dangerous for Mathibela. The government sees him as a threat, and they want to make sure he does not get away. The CIO is using all its power to make sure he stays in the country. They want to keep him from seeking asylum or fleeing to another nation.
The ruling party is under pressure as more people become fed up with the current leadership. Many Zimbabweans are angry about poor living conditions, lack of jobs, and government corruption. Mathibela’s bold statements are seen as a spark that could ignite public anger and cause mass protests.
This fear of a popular uprising is why the government is trying to silence people like Mathibela and Geza. They know that if too many voices speak out, they could lose control of the situation. The CIO’s goal is to make sure Mathibela does not become a symbol of resistance.
The fight within ZANU PF itself is making things worse. Mnangagwa and Chiwenga are both trying to hold onto power, but their struggle is tearing the party apart. People are now questioning whether the party can survive with such deep divisions.
Mathibela’s bravery in speaking out against Mnangagwa shows that not everyone in ZANU PF is loyal to the President. Some war veterans feel betrayed by the current leadership and want change. They believe that the struggle they fought for has been forgotten, and they are ready to stand up once again.
The government’s response to this challenge shows that they are afraid of losing power. Instead of listening to the people and fixing the issues, they choose to silence those who speak out. This shows how desperate they are to stay in control.
As March 31 approaches, tension is building up. People are waiting to see if Geza’s call for a popular uprising will become a reality. The government is trying to stop it before it happens, but the anger of the people is growing.
The CIO may be hunting Mathibela, but they cannot silence the growing call for change. Zimbabweans are tired of empty promises and are ready to stand up for their future. The pressure is on Mnangagwa, and it remains to be seen if he will survive this political storm.
